Существует два разных типа SSD: SLC и MLC, одноуровневые и многоуровневые ячейки соответственно. Приводы SLC дороже, быстрее и, как сообщается, более надежны. Диски Samsung размером 25 / 50G доступны только как SLC (если мои 20 секунд "исследования" Google верны).
Потребуются ли для вашего конкретного использования диски SLC - решать вам по математике. :)
Если это поможет, они произведены компанией Samsung. Сейчас я смотрю на SSD на 25 ГБ из R610. Для меня большой аферой было то, что вам нужно купить RAID-контроллер и как минимум два диска (по крайней мере, так было пару месяцев назад).
