Я попытался остановить аутентификацию по паролю и внес следующие изменения в sshd_config.
ChallengeResponseAuthentication no
PasswordAuthentication no
UsePAM no
Бум. Ключевой вход перестал работать и выдает ошибку «Permission Denied (publicKey)».
Самое смешное, что я создал rsa-ключ для пользователя без полномочий root с помощью ssh-keygen. Это работает даже сейчас. Но файл ключей ec2 pem работать не будет.
Примечание. Если я изменю UsePam на «да», ключ pem снова начнет работать. Я могу воспроизвести эту проблему на другом компьютере. Однако на первой машине я потерял возможность получить права root из-за того, что ключевой файл не работал. Поэтому нельзя вносить изменения в файл sshd_config.

Есть идеи, как получить доступ к пользователю root с помощью ключевого файла pem?
При следующем создании экземпляра используйте одну из функций CloudInit и предоставьте Скрипт пользовательских данных это отредактирует / исправит 'sshd_config'. Простая команда sed должна работать.
