Похоже, что дисковый ввод-вывод тоже увеличился (температура на 2-3 градуса выше), я бы предпочел избежать этого, потому что обоим жестким дискам несколько лет. И я не знаю, к чему все это идет.

и наблюдение за трафиком в реальном времени. Оказывается, несколько сайтов - несколько апачей. vhosts
имел длительные, самоинициализированные HTTP-запросы к некоторым php
скрипты. Который php
Скрипты были некоторыми скриптами cron плагина безопасности Wordpress - они выполняли сканирование сайта, и у них была неприятная ошибка, которая препятствовала завершению сканирования и успешному выходу (эта информация будет найдена позже). Я отключил их, и проблема сразу же исчезла.
